No 1 Pipe Band

Under the Current leadership of Pipe Major Geoffrey Hallberg the band has achieved a perfect unbeaten record in all major south island contests and also took the Grade Two title at the 2003 National Contest. For this achievement the band was granted the freedom of the Dunedin city by the mayor.  

Over the last 8 years the band has developed a relationship with Bill Acklin Entertainments and Bill Acklin’s X-Set, to present a Scottish rock flavoured program of entertainment which has been performed for several social gatherings and more recently entertaining crowds prior to the Highlanders Super 12 Rugby games at Carisbrook.
